SAIL Integrated Production Dashboard

This comprehensive manufacturing intelligence project involved the implementation of an integrated Andon system and production dashboards across SAIL's steel production facility in Bhilai. The system provides real-time visibility into Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), quality parameters, production targets, and operational metrics across multiple shop floors.

The implementation includes large-format displays at each production line, showing real-time production data, OEE metrics, quality parameters, production targets, and Andon alerts. The system integrates with the facility's production management systems, SCADA systems, and quality control systems to provide a unified view of operations.

Key features include customizable dashboards that can be configured for different production lines and operational roles. The displays show critical metrics including production rate, efficiency, quality metrics, downtime reasons, maintenance status, and safety alerts. The Andon system provides visual and audible alerts when production issues occur, enabling rapid response.

The system has significantly improved operational visibility and decision-making speed. Production managers can now see real-time status across all shop floors, enabling better resource allocation and faster response to production issues. The system has contributed to improved OEE and reduced downtime.

The displays are designed for 24/7 operation in harsh industrial environments, with high-brightness LEDs that remain visible in bright factory lighting. The system includes redundant systems and backup power supplies to ensure high availability. The project has become a model for other manufacturing facilities seeking to improve operational visibility and efficiency.
